After an intensive period of preparation, demolition, and construction, the moment has arrived: the new company halls in ’s-Gravenzande have officially been completed. On Friday, September 12, 2025, Marco Koese (Managing Director of Alcomij) and Luke Weijers (Project Manager Commercial Buildings at Heembouw) signed the handover documents. With that, the key to the new facility was officially handed over to Alcomij.

The completion marks an important milestone in our ambition to maintain future-proof production. Exactly 11 months and 1 day after signing the construction contract on October 11, 2024, the project has been finalized—a result we are proud of.

A Sustainable Step Forward

The new building was realized because our existing halls no longer met current safety and sustainability standards. With this new facility, we are taking a major step toward an energy-efficient and streamlined production environment. It’s a logical move within our broader ambition to keep developing with a focus on the future.

Collaboration and Community Engagement

This project was made possible through close collaboration with Heembouw and several other partners. From the very beginning, local residents were involved through an information session and regular updates on the progress. The feedback was positive, and the cooperation was smooth and constructive.

Ready for the Future

With the key in hand, we are now starting to furnish the building. We look forward to the opportunities this new location offers to serve our customers even better and further optimize our processes.

We would like to thank Heembouw and all parties involved for their dedication, expertise, and commitment. Together, we have laid a solid foundation for Alcomij’s future.
