R&D

Engineering

All our greenhouse roofs are in-house calculated and 3D engineered by our own team of engineers using the very latest equipment and software. Together with sales they support you and your customer every step of the way in selecting the most comprehensive and optimal system.

Meeting all standards
Just like sales, our engineers also make use a MathCad program ‘Glazenstad’, developed especially by TNO, to ensure that your customer’s new greenhouse roof system meets all local applicable standards and loads. Steel calculations are made with the latest TNO/CASTA version and for irregular structure calculations they use FEA (Finite Element Analysis).

Certification
Next to the fact that all our welders are certified according to the RWC (Responsible Welding Coordinator) for the welding methods used, we’re also NEN-EN-ISO 9001, HORTIQ BRL8001 and FPC EN-1090-1 EXc2 certified.

Logistics

What is it:

With the introduction of automation within greenhouse horticulture, the need for a well and efficient arranged cultivation area increased. This together with the desire of higher productivity and the requirement to relieve labor. 1969

Introduction first aluminium greenhouse roof system

What is it:

The need for vegetables grown under glass increased considerably after the Second World War and led to the construction of the first connected greenhouses. These traditional greenhouses were mainly built with wood, steel and glass. When in the late 1960s the production of aluminum extrusion profiles came on a more industrial scale and thus became more affordable, growers and greenhouse constructions companies switched from wood to aluminum. Therewith, the first aluminum greenhouse roof system for conditioned cultivation was born.
